7 Caloocan cops in trouble for illegal detention

Seven Caloocan police officers face administrative charges for the alleged illegal detention of a man whose son died of leptospirosis after wading through floodwaters to visit him in jail.

“They will be charged with grave misconduct, grave dishonesty, incompetence, oppression and conduct unbecoming of a police officer,” National Police Commission vice chair and executive officer Rafael Calinisan said on Thursday.

He did not identify the officers charged with arresting Jayson dela Rosa in July.
