Talk of the Town: Housing built on sand
Comments on “Housing built on sand,” (Editorial, 1/2/26) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:
The reason why wages have not been able to keep up with not only home prices but even the cost of living is because the country has been following no industrial policy since the 1980s.

Another failed hyperbolic pronouncement in the 2022 Sona!!! From 6 million promised housing for Juan, was reduced to just above 438k plus in 3 years. What a shame—Pinoy dream house “built on sand.”

It was a bad choice from the start, Acuzar was a square peg. DHSUD focused on HOAs politicizing for some to make money for the corrupt, extending terms even if expired or worse, perpetually disqualified individuals for a fee. Just like almost all of the bureaucracy, graft and corruption thrives.

One of the biggest problems of the Philippines, in the past, at the present, and in the future, is overpopulation. Problems: traffic congestion, abuse of OFWs, health, housing, and many poor Filipinos, etc. Your religion is a major part of this problem. So, do something about it. In your sermon, preach enough multiplication instead should be subtraction. Of course, the government and all media should do the same.
