Avatar

Bacolod City, dubbed the “City of Smiles,” is known for its cheerful people, friendly reputation, and its colorful Masskara Festival. Nestled in the heart of the Visayas region, this city stands as a beacon of progress, seamlessly blending the charm of its rich cultural heritage with the promise of modernity.

As the capital of the “Sugar Bowl of the Philippines,” Negros Occidental, Bacolod is one of the best alternative places to settle in as it offers rich experiences in culture, food, and fun and is said to have the ideal combination of urban progress and country charm.

It’s been named one of the “best places to live in the Philippines” for offering the best of both urban comforts and provincial living at a lower cost than Cebu and Manila.

With an abundance of recreational facilities, educational institutions, and healthcare services, Bacolod provides all the essential amenities for a fulfilling lifestyle. The climate is comfortable, and neighbors are usually friendly and peaceful.

Over the years, Bacolod has become a canvas painted in the colors of economic success, a testament to its resilience and adaptability. It has become a magnet for investors seeking opportunities in various sectors, thriving not only as an economic hub but also as a prime destination for both commercial and residential developments. Many established developers are creating modern condominiums, subdivisions, and hotels in the city.

Sta. Lucia Land Inc., a stalwart in the Philippine real estate industry, was one of the first national property developers to enter Bacolod with the development of Manville Royale Residential Estates in Brgy. Pahanocoy, a British royalty-inspired residential community with views of the spectacular Mambucal mountain ranges.

Meanwhile, Rockwell Land, synonymous with luxury and sophistication, made its entry to Bacolod through Nara Residences in 2019. It is Rockwell’s first high-end residential condominium development in this Visayan city.

Rockwell has also made its mark in Bacolod’s commercial scene through Rockwell Center Bacolod (RCB). Set to rise within a prime section of this city, RCB aims to bring together everything Bacolodnons need into one convenient and masterplanned community. It will feature residential towers, a Power Plant Mall, retail hubs, offices, a school, and commercial lots.

Against the backdrop of Bacolod’s lush landscapes and tranquil surroundings, residential and commercial developments by Ayala Land have flourished, offering Bacolodnons a sanctuary amidst the urban hustle.

There’s no doubt that the Bacolod property market is thriving. Developers and investors are cashing in on these opportunities, and the favorable trends in the Philippines’ property sweetspot are definitely giving developers, investors, and end-users more reasons to smile. —NATHALIE GRACE ADALID
