Ayala Land halts selling of Laurean Residences

Emmanuel John Abris

Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) has temporarily halted sales of its Laurean Residences project in Makati City. The company cited rising global uncertainties, including the lingering conflict in the Middle East.

The Zobel-led property giant said on Monday that the move reflects a “prudent decision” as the current environment is putting pressure on costs and clouding delivery timelines.

These factors, it added, affect its ability to execute the project “with the level of certainty” it commits to customers.

ALI said the pause aligns with its long-standing strategy of navigating market cycles through disciplined capital management and long-term value creation.

The company noted it is taking a more deliberate approach to capital allocation, prioritizing developments with clearer execution visibility.

At the same time, it is strengthening its broader portfolio, particularly its recurring income base.

“We have reached out to buyers directly to discuss next steps and the range of options available to them, with the care and attention they expect from ALI,” the company said.

“We deeply value the trust our buyers place in ALI, and we remain committed to delivering high-quality projects with the care and discipline that have always defined our company,” it added.
