BIZ BUZZ: New Cebu Pacific jet lands in PH

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific is gearing up to expand its route network with the delivery of its first aircraft for the year.
Joining its fleet is an A330neo (new engine option) unit that can carry 459 passengers and service regional and long-haul routes.
The Gokongwei-led airline is set to receive a total of seven additional aircraft this year.
“The arrival of our latest A330neo strengthens our operational resilience, allowing us to serve more passengers while continuing to offer affordable and sustainable air travel,” Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said.
The neo jets burn 15 percent less fuel per flight, which also reduces carbon emissions.
The low-cost airline’s fleet comprises 11 Airbus 330s, 39 Airbus 320s, 26 Airbus 321s and 15 ATR turboprops.
