Buchiton Ramen House eyes 22 more stores
The local franchise holder of Japanese restaurant chain Buchiton Ramen House is planning to open 23 new stores in the Philippines over the next two years as part of a P200-million push to establish the brand in the country.
In a statement on Tuesday, DMG Holdings Inc. said it will invest at least that amount until 2026 and that the new branches are expected to generate new jobs and franchise opportunities.
“Buchiton targets to open three outlets this year, 10 by 2025 and 10 by 2026,” said Matthew Ablis, chief operating officer of DMG Holdings.
Buchiton opened its first store in the Philippines last Aug. 1, 2024 at SM City San Lazaro in Manila.
Ablis said that the two stores also slated to open this year include one at the SM City Consolacion in Cebu province and another at SM City East Ortigas in Pasig City.
DMG Holdings would be investing between P7 million and P9 million to open one store, the COO added.
Buchiton has been making ramen in Japan for over 20 years and is known for its use of “genuine ingredients and traditional recipes.”
The Manila store will offer the brand’s signature ramen broth, imported directly from Japan, as well as popular Hiroshima side dishes like gyoza and karaage.
DMG Holdings operates 29 restaurant outlets in the Philippines spanning a number of major brands.
Aside from Buchiton Ramen House, the company owns and operates seven Mesa restaurants, seven Hayashi restaurants, nine Old Town Malaysian Cuisine stores, and four Vari Uma Japanese Cuisine.
