DoubleDragon tops off QC’s biggest hotel
DoubleDragon Corp. has reached another milestone in its hospitality expansion after completing the structural works of its 702-room Hotel101-Libis, which is poised to become the largest hotel in Quezon City.
In a disclosure on Friday, the property developer said it held the topping-off ceremony for the project at Robinsons Bridgetowne Estate, marking the completion of the building’s structure and topmost floor.
The hotel is located within Robinsons Land’s Bridgetowne development, just a short walk from Robinsons Opus Mall.
“The 702-room Hotel101-Libis project will form part of the Hotel101 global vision of 50,000 uniform Hotel101 rooms in the Philippines and 1 million uniform Hotel101 rooms worldwide,” the company said.
The company said 2026 will mark its biggest year yet for hotel openings.
It expects to add 2,229 rooms to its portfolio this year, consisting of the recently opened 680-room Hotel101-Madrid in Spain, the 519-room Hotel101-Davao scheduled to open on July 30, the 548-room Hotel101-Cebu and the 482-room Hotel101-Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan.
DoubleDragon said the expansion supports its strategy of building recurring revenue streams from its hospitality business alongside income from its community malls, industrial warehouses and office properties.
The company noted that Hotel101-Madrid, which opened in March, has delivered strong initial operating results.
It cited a recent single-day record of full occupancy that generated more than €100,000 in revenue, which it said demonstrates demand for the Hotel101 brand outside the Philippines and validates its asset-light hospitality model.
Hotel101-Madrid is the first Hotel101 property to operate overseas, while the Niseko property is expected to begin generating recurring revenues in Japanese yen once it opens in December.
Looking ahead, DoubleDragon said the global rollout of Hotel101 is expected to support long-term recurring revenues through hotel operations and licensing of its business model across international markets.
The company added that its total assets currently stand at P225.3 billion as it continues to pursue its overseas growth strategy.
