Megaworld unveils Laoag beach club plan
Property developer Megaworld Corp. is expanding its footprint in northern Luzon with plans to build a beach club within its Ilocandia Coastown township in Laoag City.
The Andrew Tan-led firm said on Monday that the Ilocandia Beach Club would rise along the township’s 1.4-kilometer coastline, positioning it as a key lifestyle hub within the 84-hectare development.
Megaworld described the project as Laoag’s first and only beach club, drawing inspiration from the tropical vibrance of beach clubs in Sentosa Island, Singapore.
The development will feature a main beach club facility with direct access to the shore, complemented by a promenade lined with restaurants, cafes, retail shops and alfresco dining options.
Amenities will include a fitness center, swimming pools, private VIP lounges and relaxation areas, as well as walking and jogging paths.
Megaworld said the design would highlight the sea as the central visual element, with a breezy arcade connecting visitors to various amenities and extending toward the beachfront.
Beach loungers and shaded seating areas will also be installed to enhance the coastal experience.
May Santos, head of sales and marketing for Ilocandia Coastown, said the beach club was envisioned as the township’s flagship lifestyle destination.
She added that the project aimed to elevate Ilocandia Coastown’s identity as a premier beachside development in Ilocos Norte.
Land development for the township is set to begin early next year as Megaworld ramps up its rollout of projects in the area.
Ilocandia Coastown is positioned as Megaworld’s first live-work-play integrated township in the Ilocos Region.
