PhilWeb, Okada team up for online gaming platform
PhilWeb Corp. has partnered with Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment, Inc., operator of Okada Manila, to roll out a new online gaming platform branded “Okada Play.”
In a statement on Thursday, the gaming technology provider said it will provide a full online gaming platform solution for the venture. This covers gaming content, platform technology, customer service infrastructure and marketing support.
The tie-up marks Okada Manila’s deeper push into digital gaming as it seeks to expand beyond its physical integrated resort operations.
The two partners intend to tap a growing base of online players while reinforcing the premium positioning of the Okada brand.
PhilWeb president Brian Ng said the partnership highlights the company’s focus on delivering “best-in-class gaming solutions” to industry leaders.
“By working with Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment, Inc., we are enabling the extension of a globally recognized luxury gaming brand into the online space through a robust and scalable platform,” Ng said.
For Okada Manila, the move is part of a broader digital strategy. President and CEO Nobuki Sato said Okada Play would help the group scale its digital gaming presence and reach new customer segments while maintaining its premium experience.
The platform is positioned as a strong contender in the country’s competitive online gaming market. It offers a differentiated digital experience anchored on high-quality content and seamless user engagement.
PhilWeb said the partnership leverages its experience in regulated gaming platforms and nationwide operations to support the rollout and growth of Okada Play.
The launch is also expected to create new revenue opportunities within the regulated online gaming ecosystem. It will complement Okada Manila’s existing platforms and strengthen customer engagement beyond its physical property.
The collaboration reflects the increasing convergence of land-based and digital gaming, with technology and premium content seen as key drivers of future growth in the industry.
PhilWeb is a listed firm known for its end-to-end e-gaming solutions, while Tiger Resort operates the Forbes Travel Guide five-star Okada Manila integrated resort.
