Dress yourself and your house up

Whether you’re refreshing your wardrobe or your home, this week’s retail launches offer plenty to discover. From new international arrivals to homegrown fashion and expanding lifestyle brands, here’s what’s new in stores.

Benlai makes Philippine debut with functional everyday wear

International apparel brand Benlai has arrived in the Philippines, opening its first local store at SM Mall of Asia through a partnership with Suyen Corporation. The launch marks the brand’s third international market following Thailand and Hong Kong.

Founded in 2022, Benlai has built its identity around everyday essentials crafted from technical fabrics designed to support modern lifestyles. Its menswear and womenswear collections pair clean, minimalist silhouettes with performance-driven materials that transition seamlessly from work and travel to weekends and everyday wear.

As consumers increasingly value versatility, durability, and sustainability, Benlai offers essentials that blend comfort, function, and minimalist design.

Sustainability is also central to the brand’s philosophy. Benlai incorporates recycled polyester, recycled cellulosic fibers, and recycled-content cotton across its collections while adopting manufacturing practices aimed at reducing textile waste. The result is a wardrobe of thoughtfully designed essentials that balances comfort, versatility, and a lighter environmental footprint.

Lady Rustan reimagines fall dressing for the tropics

Designer Pia Hebron has come full circle with Lady Rustan. After first working with Rustan’s in the early ’90s, where she developed in-house labels including Caravan, Jill, and the eveningwear line Luna, she returned in 2014 at the invitation of Nedy Tantoco to revive Lady Rustan—a label that dates back to the 1970s.

For Fall/Winter 2026, she reimagines autumn dressing for the Philippine climate rather than a traditional cold-weather wardrobe. “Ultimately, Lady Rustan is more of an everyday wear that you can kind of dress up,” she says.

Instead of heavy layers, the collection embraces breathable fabrics such as linen, Tencel, and cotton—while reworking wardrobe staples through thoughtful details like asymmetrical patchwork, frayed edges, stripes, gazar, organza, cording, beadwork, and subtle cut-outs.

For the season, Hebron introduces warm jewel tones including reds and sapphire blues alongside Lady Rustan’s signature palette of camel, beige, black, and white, while earthy shades of olive, terracotta, mustard, and paprika add depth. The colors are carefully selected to flatter a wide range of Filipino skin tones, while the softly structured silhouettes are designed to move effortlessly from day to evening.

The current pop-up at Power Plant Mall also marks the first time Lady Rustan has expanded beyond Rustan’s department stores, bringing the heritage label to a new audience.

The Lady Rustan Fall/Winter 2026 collection is available at the Level 1 Atrium of Power Plant Mall until July 12
