Biodance brings its viral K-beauty skincare to the Philippines
South Korean skincare brand Biodance has officially launched in the Philippines, with its products now available at Watsons stores nationwide as well as through its official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.

Founded by Mihwa Kim, Biodance was born from a deeply personal experience. After surviving a serious car accident in 2013 that left her with facial burns and scars, Kim turned to hydrocolloid and hydrogel patches during her recovery. Inspired by their wound-healing properties, she set out to adapt the same clinical technology into skincare that could be used every day.
The brand has since become one of K-beauty’s fastest-growing names—best known for its Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask, the overnight hydrogel mask that gradually turns transparent as its essence absorbs into the skin. The viral treatment has sold more than 250 million units worldwide.

Alongside its bestselling mask, Biodance’s Philippine lineup includes the Hydro Cera-Nol Real Deep Mask for barrier support and hydration, the Radiant Vita Niacinamide Real Deep Mask for brightening, the Collagen Gel Toner Pads and Vita Niacinamide Gel Toner Pads—as well as the Pore Perfecting Collagen Peptide Cream and Pore Tightening Collagen Peptide Serum, expanding the brand’s range of collagen-focused and skin-repairing skincare for local beauty enthusiasts.
JD Sports opens its first northern Metro Manila store at Trinoma
JD Sports continues its expansion in the Philippines with the opening of a new store at Trinoma, marking the British sportswear retailer’s fourth local branch and its first in northern Metro Manila.
The 360-square-meter space brings together footwear, apparel, and accessories from global sportswear brands, adding another destination for shoppers looking for the latest sneaker releases and streetwear staples. The opening follows the brand’s existing stores at SM Mall of Asia, Glorietta, and Bonifacio High Street.

Among the newest arrivals are styles such as the Puma Mules, Puma Tacklette, Adidas Handball Spezial Loafers, Adidas Ghost Sprint Ballet, and Nike Sprint Sister. The store also stocks the Puma Speedcat Ballet Lace, Nike Ava X, and Nike Ava Rover—as well as apparel, including Adidas’ football-inspired lifestyle collection and pieces from Nike’s ongoing Nocta collaboration.

JD Sports is located on the third floor of Trinoma and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with extended hours until 10 p.m. from Friday to Sunday
Mitsukoshi BGC marks third anniversary with Tanabata celebration
Mitsukoshi BGC is celebrating its third anniversary with a Tanabata-inspired festival that also commemorates the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Philippines.
Running from July to August, the celebration brings together Japanese traditions, cultural activities, shopping experiences, and workshops throughout the mall. Festivities began on July 16 with taiko drum performances, a traditional mikoshi parade, dance performances, and the unveiling of Mitsuko, the mall’s kokeshi doll mascot, dressed in an outfit inspired by the Japanese and Philippine flags.
Throughout the festival, guests can take part in Tanabata by writing wishes on colorful tanzaku cards, while eligible shoppers can enjoy yukata dressing experiences held on select Saturdays.
The lineup also includes craft workshops, fashion and lifestyle pop-ups showcasing Japanese and Filipino artisans, and shopping promotions. Customers who meet the minimum spend can participate in a traditional Japanese-inspired ball toss game for prizes and raffle entries, with giveaways including a PlayStation 5 Slim, Nintendo Switch 2, and Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo kits.
