Nissan’s newest e-Power hitters
Nowadays, time is fast-evolving. And so does mobility. Nissan Philippines understands this and that’s why, like the rest of the industry, the carmaker is committed to innovation, efficiency, and sustainable progress.
Here, at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show, the Japanese carmaker further solidifies this commitment by addressing the needs of the local market, particularly fuel efficiency and energy conservation. With two of its newest electrified offerings, the all-new Nissan Kicks, as well as the newest generation of the Nissan X-trail–both run by e-Power technology, the company is ready to take the market by storm.
New ‘Kicks’ in town
Last March, our Philippine media delegation first witnessed the launch of the all-new Nissan Kicks during the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show held at the Impact Challenger Convention Center at Muang Thong Thani.
There in Thailand, the Kicks e-Power, manufactured at its Samut Prakan plant is a massive hit. Thais attribute it more to the subcompact car’s “electric vehicle”-like driving and fuel efficiency, competitive pricing, modern upgrades–probably all the perks of owning an EV, without the hassle of charging.
Back here in the Philippines, the carmaker aspires to emulate that kind of success.
This newest Kicks debuts on our shores with a significant revamp focusing on updated exterior aesthetics, elevated interior cabin and enhanced technology.
Its redesigned exterior features a bold sporty look inspired by the “sneaker culture” with available 19-inch alloy wheels, two-tone paint options, and full-width LED taillights.

Inside, the cabin feels modern and spacious that sports the Nissan Zero Gravity seats for all occupants and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
It has also improved dual 12.3-inch high-resolution displays (infotainment and digital instrument cluster), with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under its hood is the familiar E-power system, now in its second generation, which uses a 1.2-liter engine, generating 136 hp electric motor, providing a 100-percent electric driving feel without needing to plug in.
Safety-wise, the newest Kicks features some are the first-in-its class. It sports the ProPiLOT technology, which consists of lane keeping assist, intelligent cruise control, leading car departure notification, predictive forward collision warning, forward emergency braking with ped detection system, forward emergency braking, along with many others.
This newest entry is being presented here at the show until Sunday and will be available for sale to the public by August, 2026.

Comeback of the ‘X’
Think of a long lost lover you try to bury the memories all in the past. But no matter what you do to forget, because of your long shared history together, you still find yourself coming back and rekindling that old flame. That is how and what the Nissan Xtrail is to Filipinos. Over the last two decades, the deeply-cherished nameplate was able to build a reputation as a true blue SUV swagger, capable, if not innate of an ever-reliable performance, with all the matching chutzpah, traversing across generations

Now, the upcoming fourth-generation X-Trail is ripe and ready for the local market as it reawakens the flame it once had with Filipinos and strive again to continue its legacy. This time, it combines the panache of a modern SUV and electrified performance.
In a recent media preview, the Philippines is set to receive a front-wheel drive (2WD) setup paired with the e-POWER system, which uses a 1.5-liter VC-Turbo engine as an onboard generator to power the front electric motor.
For many years, the 2.0L 4×2 CVT was the standard volume-seller for the X-Trail locally.
To be specific, the engine is a three-cylinder 12-valve, 1.5-liter variable compression, turbo, with AC3 Synchronous electric motor and 1.85-kWh lithium-ion battery, paired with auto single speed gear reduction transmission that produces 204 hp and 330N-m of torque. It comes with driving modes of Eco, Normal and Sport.
Outside, it’s no longer that edgy boxy SUV. Now, it’s sleeker and carries itself with more suave. Headlamps and rear lamps are both with full LEDs, with ‘Follow Me Home’ technology.
It sports MacPherson strut / multi-Link suspensions and ventilated disc brakes. Not to mention 19-inch alloys.
Inside, dark-colored hues dominate the tones which go along well with leather trims and seats.
From what we have learned, this newest Nissan X-Trail e-Power is priced at P2,290,000.
Drop by the Nissan display at the Philippine International Motor Show from June 4 to 7 to grab a glimpse of these vehicles in the flesh.
