The name may sound familiar, but this hatchback is truly in a different league.

Chery Auto Philippines announced in a press statement that it will preview the all-new 2026 QEV battery-electric vehicle (EV) at the 10 th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) on June 4 to 7, 2026 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Touted as the spiritual successor to the infamous Chery QQ3, the QEV reflects the brand’s decades of rapid technological progress, particularly in electrified powerplants. The Chinese automaker said the all-new model is “anchored on the brand’s commitment to creating vehicles designed around the needs of everyday life through space, technology, and safety.”

“Smart, stylish, and thoughtfully designed for modern lifestyles, the Chery QEV combines compact urban-friendly proportions with everyday practicality,” Chery Auto Philippines said in the press statement.

“Built to make city driving, parking, and navigating tight streets easier, the QEV also offers ample space and versatility to support daily routines – from work commutes and errands to weekend activities and out-of-town drives,” the company added.

Sweet styling

The QEV (known as the QQ3 in other markets) debuted globally last August 2025 at the Chengdu Auto Show.

It is built on Chery Auto’s T12 battery EV platform and competes with subcompact hatchback EVs like the BYD Dolphin. It incorporates distinctive styling cues, such as the wide LED headlights, the flush door handles, body-colored trim on the rear-quarter window and large LED taillights.

Inside, the Chery QEV gets a 15.6-inch, 2.5K, Ultra HD touchscreen infotainment system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 Chip, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other luxuries include a 50-watt wireless phone charger, smart voice assistant and a customizable cabin experience. 405 km range

In contrast to the Dolphin, the QEV has a rear-mounted electric motor mated to a 41.28-kWh LFP battery pack.

Chery Auto Philippines claims a maximum NEDC range of 405 kilometers on a single full charge. The battery can go from 30 to 80 percent in just 16.5 minutes using DC fast-charging, while vehicle-to-load functionality allows users to conveniently power everyday devices wherever they go.

PIMS-exclusive promos

Chery Auto Philippines said, aside from the QEV, visitors to the Chery Super Hybrid Hub at PIMS 2026 will get an exclusive first look at how Chery Auto is advancing electric mobility through innovative vehicles designed for the demands of modern everyday living.

In addition to the vehicle displays, guests can enjoy test drives, exclusive event offers, on-site vehicle trade-in evaluations, bank financing assistance, PIMS-exclusive merchandise and freebies, as well as free aftersales consultations. The automaker is also offering a promo price of P888,000 for the Tiggo Cross CVT for customers who make a reservation during the event.

With the QEV, Chery Auto Philippines is poised to deliver a strong showing in the small-hatchback segment, in a far more positive and eco-friendly light.
