DOE: Minimal fuel price adjustments set this week
Pump prices may go up by as much as P1.90 per liter or decrease by up to P1.16 effective June 30, reflecting the “calming” global market.
Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Sharon Garin said at a press briefing on Monday that the price of gasoline per liter may be reduced by 10 centavos or increased by P1.90.
Diesel may also be rolled back by P1.16 per liter or rise by as much as 84 centavos. As for kerosene, it may dip by 78 centavos per liter or go up by P1.22.
“It shows that the prices are starting to calm down,” Garin told reporters.
“But we’ll keep on monitoring and informing the public on what’s happening in the international market because these are circumstances that are beyond our control and hopefully we hope and pray that it will keep on going down,” she said.
