DPWH flags delayed flood control project in PGH

Zacarian Sarao

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Wednesday discovered another delayed flood control project, this time within the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) compound on flood-prone Taft Avenue, Manila.

Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon inspected the project which was only 16-percent complete although construction began in December 2024.

“The President said that our people deserve better than this. This is very important because it concerns the PGH,” he said. “You can see that so many people come here every day.
