The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) is considering the provision of rental housing support to qualified beneficiaries under the government’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.

Newly installed Housing Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said the DHSUD looking at families within the lower income deciles as among the targeted beneficiaries.

“We must exhaust all feasible modalities under 4PH. The more schemes available for our kababayans (fellow Filipinos), depending on the need and their capacity, the better,” Aliling said in a statement on Sunday.

“Currently, we are studying rental housing among the modalities under 4PH.”

Aliling announced the recalibration of 4PH to include horizontal developments or subdivision-like housing projects.
