Remulla: Atong Ang no longer in Philippines

Gambling tycoon Charlie “Atong” Ang has already left the country through the “backdoor,” Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla told reporters on Tuesday.

He declined to provide additional details on how and when Ang managed to escape.

He also did not say where Ang, who is facing homicide and kidnapping charges in connection with the disappearance of at least 34 “sabungeros” or cockfight enthusiasts from 2021 to 2022, was last spotted.
