Reform isn’t born in sanitized debate halls; it’s forged in the bloody demolition of sacred cows. Past regimes mastered the art of sweeping institutional rot under the rug to preserve cozy alliances, but President Marcos chose a sharper, more destructive path.

Let us focus on the more urgent issue or action that must be immediately acted upon. The issue on the Marcos humongous back taxes of P203 billion. It is in the law that the BIR demand for payment should be made regularly in less than 5 years duration otherwise, the demand would lapse and the payment need not be made.
