Talk of the Town: Ironic quest for ‘justice’
Comments on “Ironic quest for ‘justice,’” (Editorial, 7/3/26) via https://opinion.inquirer.net:
INC has cleverly framed unity as their sacred profession of faith, and in the context of Philippine politics has used this to elect politicians, who has a good chance of winning anyway, but who possess no qualms about giving the sect special favors, with impunity. The people should wise up as this recent very disruptive rally has shown that they have grown bold in pushing their selfish agenda to the utter disregard of other people’s welfare.

I used to vote for candidates endorsed by Iglesia. But, realizing now that their endorsements include persons with cases, I would exercise more discernment in choosing whom to vote for.

Their leaders are defending their cause, just as they would argue about their religion. Their reasoning is supported by perverted logic, which is likely well embedded in their thoughts.

It’s the biggest paradox. INC invokes the Bible and God the Father, yet they have always been on the side of corrupt political lords in the country, obviously in exchange for favors. It’s so insulting to the intelligence of the people, yet they have a huge cult following.
