PH’s 2024 bestselling BEV further improves with newest features
Chinese carmakers have been relentlessly pushing their electric vehicles (EVs) these past few years. Today, they are reaping what they have sowed. One of them is BYD Cars Philippines as its BYD Atto3 sold 1,062 units after just a year since its debut in the local automotive market, now making it the country’s bestselling battery electric vehicle.
With this milestone, the company just unveiled its newest model during its BYD Tech Tour at Ayala Malls Solenad in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
The newest upgrades to the BYD Atto 3 further aims to enhance its appeal with refined features that keep it fresh and competitive in the growing EV market.
Moreover, BYD Cars Philippines managing director, Bob Palanca, said, “Known for offering high-quality features at an affordable price, the Atto 3 continues to attract new customers to the brand as it solidifies its position as the electric vehicle of choice for those seeking a stylish and accessible BEV amid the market’s transition to an electric-powered lifestyle.”
Improved modern exterior
At the onset, the vehicle still dons the same familiar athletic yet stylish appeal on its exterior. Further enhancing its aesthetics and functionality, however, is the new power tailgate in the Premium variant, which is among the key improvements to the BEV SUV as it provides easier access to the rear compartment. A prominent BYD logo on its tailgate, on the other, gives it a more minimalist look on its rear.
Meanwhile, gloss black accents on the D-pillar garnish and window trim give it more swag, not to mention bigger 235/50/R18 Continental tires.
As an added option, this 2025 Atto 3 is also available in its new Cosmos Black exterior color.
According to Palanca, these enhance both the vehicle’s design and functionality, ensuring a more refined driving experience.
“These improvements reinforce our commitment to providing innovative and high-quality electric vehicles for our customers.”
More comfy interiors
Now, highlighting the vehicle inside is its ambient lighting, creating that homey feel. While a PM 2.5 air filter with on-screen monitoring provides better interior air quality.
These improvements are further complemented by new interior color options, such as lighter body colors combined with Blue and Grey interiors. While darker exterior shades are paired with Blue and Black shades.
For infotainment, a larger 15.6-inch touchscreen enhances menu visuals and usability, offering a range of connected services, and seamless driving experience.
Furthermore, a newly introduced Near-Field Communication (NFC) card provides easier keyless entry, starting, and access to the car’s other features.
The same proven electric power
At the heart is the familiar powertrain which provides a potent 203hp and 310 N-m of torque. The top-tier Blade Battery offers 60.5 kWh that can reach a range of up to 480 kilometers, while the other a 49.9 kWh that achieves a 410-km range.
The new BYD Atto 3 is priced at P1,598,000 for the Dynamic variant and P1,798,000 for the Premium variant. As addition, it keeps its comprehensive warranty coverage – an eight-year or 160,000-km (whichever comes first) warranty for the BYD Blade Battery, an eight-year or 150,000-km (whichever comes first) warranty for the electric motor, and a six-year or 150,000-km (whichever comes first) vehicle warranty.
