Ayala clinches 25-year lease of Camp John Hay hub

Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) have formalized a new 25-year lease agreement that enables the continued operation of the John Hay Technohub in Baguio City.
BCDA on Tuesday said the deal was signed on May 16. This is expected to boost state revenues and further anchor the agency’s role in transforming former military lands into economic assets.
The government-owned and controlled corporation said the four-story property located within Camp John Hay will remain a hub for business process outsourcing (BPO) operations and commercial activities.
“This partnership ensures that business continues to thrive smoothly while we build a stronger, brighter future for all. It reflects the deep trust and confidence that respected companies like Ayala place in the government,” BCDA president and CEO Joshua Bingcang said in a statement.
Under the terms of the agreement, ALI will continue to operate the Technohub as it has since its initial development offering both office and retail components tailored for the BPO sector.
The BCDA said it expects the deal to generate about P600 million in lease revenues over its term.
More jobs
Beyond financial gains, the BCDA said the agreement will continue to generate more employment opportunities for the local community, significantly enhancing job stability for the current workforce of 3,000 people.
The state firm added that this latest partnership reflects a strong commitment to optimizing existing assets and attracting new investments. More importantly, it firms up the intention of fostering a resilient and sustainable economic ecosystem for the benefit of the Filipino people.
Since regaining control of the Camp John Hay property in January, the BCDA has secured over P1.4 billion in investments from new commercial and residential lease agreements.
