Epidemics [of] epic proportions that have hit the country: drugs, gambling, corruption. What else?

The problem with banning gambling is that one has to enforce the ban. If the government fails to do that, it is creating a bigger problem for society than just regulating it instead. The notion that government can stop gambling by banning it is “pie in the sky.”
