Enterprise-grade software offered at startup-friendly costs

A group of tech industry veterans designed a cost-effective artificial intelligence (AI)-powered platform to address the global digital backlog that is hampering the growth of businesses.

A digital backlog is a collection of pending projects and application requirements that have accumulated over time due to financial constraints or talent shortage.

Enter Xamun V3, an AI-native software development platform that aims to transform how enterprises worldwide address their mounting digital and AI implementation backlogs.

Built and developed in the Philippines while incorporated in London, Xamun was designed to enable organizations to get rid of large backlog that can constrain their ability to adapt to changing market conditions.

“We’ve reimagined the entire software creation process to address this fundamental global challenge,” says Arup Maity, cofounder and president of Xamun Technologies.

“Xamun V3 isn’t just about writing code faster—it’s about eliminating the massive translation gap between strategic vision and working software that has held back organizations everywhere,” he adds.

Xamun is the brainchild of a team deeply rooted in software development and business transformation. Maity, who has more than 25 years of experience in the software industry and also the founder of software developer BlastAsia, leads this team.

The team also includes Tess Fuentes, chief finance officer, who has been in corporate finance for more than two decades. There’s also Neil Rowatt, who has spent much of his career in business transformation.

Filling the gaps

Maity recounts that Xamun came to life when they identified a “fundamental problem” in software development.

He explains, “80 percent of software projects discover critical gaps only after months of development, leading to expensive rework and missed market opportunities.” The team then harnessed the power of generative AI to “provide the technological foundation” to bridge the strategy-to-outcome gap.

Xamun Version 3 (V3), which launched in April, uses a unique “AI-expert partnership” model. Human expertise, such as software architecture and quality assurance, is strategically integrated throughout the development life cycle. This is to ensure enterprise-grade security, performance and reliability.

He further explains that the process of software development often stalls during the user acceptance testing, or the final stage in software development when real users test the software if it is up to task.

“These late-stage discoveries lead to scope changes, budget overruns and quality issues from hasty rework,” he adds.

Design and build in a few weeks

Maity says their DesignStudio is the solution to this challenge: clients can visualize their end-product before any coding begins.

“Our AI-powered DesignStudio allows business leaders to quickly transform their ideas into detailed specifications and working prototypes in minutes rather than weeks. This lets stakeholders and end-users experience and validate solutions before a single line of code is written, dramatically reducing the 80-percent rework rate that plagues traditional development,” he says.

On the other hand, their BuildStudio converts the validated designs into usable software in just two to four weeks. “It orchestrates our network of AI agents and human experts to ensure enterprise-grade quality while maintaining incredible speed,” he explains.

Maity recalls that their first customer was a local startup called Board Prep Solutions. It was in need of a mobile platform that usually takes 18 months to develop. “Using Xamun, we delivered the complete platform in just a couple of months,” he adds.

Asked how the team accelerated the process of software development, Maity replies that it is by embedding more than 25 years of software development expertise into their AI orchestration layer.

“We’re not just connecting to generic AI models—we’re applying proven development practices at every step of the process,” he adds.

With Xamun V3, a year’s worth of projects can be validated and delivered within months for a relatively less expensive price tag compared with offshore development shops, he says.

“That’s why our clients describe Xamun as a ‘blessing from heaven’ compared to traditional approaches,” he says.

Maity and his team deliberately lowered the cost of Xamun V3 to attract more businesses that have not yet experienced AI-assisted software development.

DesignStudio monthly subscription starts at $250. “Once they see the immediate value, the conversation naturally shifts toward full development,” he explains.

He adds that for complete software builds, Xamun offers 35-percent cost savings. He says the reduced timeline, as well as the elimination of requirements misalignment—such as wasted resources and strained relationships between stakeholders— makes the actual business value exponentially higher.

Xamun’s client list includes large and local businesses all in need of fast, reliable software solutions. A top health tech firm in the Philippines and a crew servicing leader in France are its two largest customers. The platform has developed a comprehensive health care management solution that enhances the digital health ecosystem. It has also produced sophisticated logistics and manpower management systems that streamline international operations for the French firm.

Inclusive tech

But what Maity takes pride in is that Xamun is gaining traction among startups and early-stage ventures, particularly those whose founders are not tech-savvy.

“Our platform is designed to empower entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to market without the usual delays and risks of traditional development,” he adds.

An educational technology startup that focuses on professional licensure exam preparation recently approached him with a “bold vision for a learning management system.” It was grappling with limited funding and lack of technical know-how. There was an urgent need to validate the business model.

“Using Xamun AI-powered DesignStudio and BuildStudio, we transformed their requirements into a fully functional platform featuring personalized study plans, practice exams and performance analytics. The entire solution was delivered in just eight weeks—compared to the 18 months they had anticipated,” he recounts.

Cybersecurity is likewise among the core pillars of the platform. Xamun offers a wide range of software safeguards such as authentication and data encryption, real-time code reviews, pre-deployment vulnerability scanning and ongoing maintenance.

Positioning the country as a hub for AI innovation ranks high in Maity’s aspirations. He wants Xamun to play a central role on the global stage to deliver tools that will empower nontechnical founders and businesses.

“Xamun’s vision is to build a Philippines-born, globally transformative AI-powered software development platform … Our pipeline is focused on redefining how software is created, making it faster, more accessible and more impactful for entrepreneurs, startups and enterprises worldwide,” he says.
