Ballet sneakers are in and we know where to get them

In the past year, we’ve seen balletcore make its way into mainstream fashion. For Spring/Summer 2025, Christian Louboutin unveiled the Cassia Lace-Up pumps, a ballet inspired four-inch heel. As we continue to incorporate the delicate, feminine touch to our wardrobe, it’s only natural that we fall in love with what British Vogue calls, the “sneakerina.”
This hybrid shoe perfectly encapsulates our compulsion towards both comfort and style. As sleek as they are, ballet sneakers have a way of drawing attention to themselves. Some might suggest they’re the statement shoe for the modern woman. We’re head over heels for these sneaker brands and you should be, too.
The Vivaia round-toe satin Yanka
A-listers like Charli xcx and Bella Hadid have been spotted sporting these satin slip-ons. From Coachella days to coffee runs, these celebrities have dressed the sneakerina in their own signature style.
For Charli, the Yankas in blush are a striking contrast to her thick, black hair. The sneakerinas are the perfect touch for the too-cool-to-care aesthetic. The innovative concoction of a graphic tee, black Chanel bag, and these delicate, yet durable trainers, is one cocktail of a fit.

The Puma Speedcat ballet flats
We all know and love the Puma Speedcat ballet flats, but none so as Dua Lipa. Dua wears the sporty shoe with an all-white athleisure get-up, drawing our eyes directly toward the metallic sheen. If you want your own take on the shoe, you can shop it in white, black, baby pink, or bright Ferrari-red.

The Adidas Taekwondo Mei shoes
If you’re an Adidas girl, but you’re tired of Sambas or Gazelles, this one’s for you. This pointed lace-up sneakerina is perfect to dress up or down. Casual enough to wear in your day to day and dressy enough to wear on summer occasions, this versatile shoe comes in seven different colors.
What draws me specifically to this pair is that the laces are tucked inside the shoe, creating the perfect corset-like pattern on your feet. Tie it to your ankle or higher up your leg to get that true ballerina look.

The Onitsuka Patou x Mexico 66 Ballerina
We loved the return of the “Kill Bill” sneakers, but it’s time for the rise of the sneakerina. This velcro-adjustable show is a hybrid of the mary janes and ballet sneakers in one. It’s hard not to love this stylish, yet sensible pair when this collaboration makes it so easy.
Though a little more high-end and difficult to come by, these would be a purchase you won’t regret.

The Rockfish Weatherwear Bliss Laceup sneakers
Whenever I travel abroad, shopping is always a must. If you’re headed to South Korea or Hong Kong sometime soon, you might want to check out Rockfish Weatherwear. No one does fresh, feminine streetwear like Korean fashion.
What better way to embody the cool girl aesthetic than to put a pair of wired earphones on and skip in your sneakerinas? You can even purchase charms to attach to your laces if you’re an anik-anik girlie!
