Glow up for the next growth phase

“Faith is love taking the form of aspiration.” – William Ellery Channing

The law of unwavering faith states that, if you hold your desires close to your heart, never giving up hope, they will indeed become reality. After five years of my healing journey, I know that I have the power to co-create my deepest desires with the universe and let go of all limiting beliefs that hinder my growth. Removing earthly timelines, I trust that what is meant for me will always find me.

Reflecting with gratitude and appreciation, I believe that what I will share to the world is important and can create change far beyond what I can imagine. I am evolving into the person I have always set out to be. With love and encouragement, I now patiently step forward and allow myself the time I need to grow and glow.

We are all heroines

The path of my graceful comeback has been supported by so many women who continue to inspire me with their lives and how they have successfully survived their own hurdles and challenges.

One of these amazing ladies is good friend and supporter of Red Charity Gala, Pinky Tobiano. After ending her marriage, Pinky has found love again with her partner of many years, Juancho Robles, and together they lead a lifestyle full of health and wellness. Chemist Pinky started Swiss Proli, a wellness brand dedicated to creating high-quality, science-based supplements that promote balance, vitality, and overall well-being.

Swiss Proli recently held its first Heroes of Home Award by Swiss Proli at the Manila House Private Club. The intimate affair was a heartfelt tribute to working mothers whose quiet strength, love, and sacrifices shape the heart of every home. To celebrate Mother’s Day, Pinky and her Swiss Proli team shifted the narrative from simple gratitude to something more meaningful, as they asked an important question: “If moms are always caring for everyone else, who is taking care of them?”

A wellness advocate and a mom herself, Pinky shared her thoughts on honoring mothers, emphasizing the importance of self-care in their everyday lives. “Today, we celebrate mothers not just for all that they do, but for who they are. They give so much of themselves every single day, and it’s just as important that we remind them to care for their own health and well-being, too. Swiss Proli complements that initiative as every mother’s perfect wellness partner.”

Among its offerings is Swiss Proli Lean Quick Gummies: apple cider vinegar gummies enhanced with added benefits to support metabolism, digestion, heart health, fatty liver, and overall daily wellness.

Complementing this is the Swiss Proli Night Gummies, a functional blend of melatonin, ashwagandha, vitamins, and other herbs crafted to support restful nighttime recovery. For mothers who often end their days exhausted, it offers a gentle way to recharge.

During the event, outstanding mothers across various industries were honored for their inspiring journeys and contributions in entertainment, including actress Janice de Belen, singer Angeline Quinto, renowned choreographer Teacher G (Georcelle Dapat-Sy), social media personality Cat Arambulo-Antonio, and actresses Moi Bien and Via Antonio.

Since I was away on vacation with my mother, Marixi Prieto, I was not able to attend, but thankfully both Swiss Proli gummies are available online for me to restock.

Restoring yourself

Self-care is a non-negotiable in the path of emotional recovery. That is why I am so happy to discover Clinique de Paris (CDP), a hair restoration and aesthetics clinic in Manila. Their flagship clinic in the penthouse of the Alveo Financial Tower held an exclusive event titled “Art of Restoration.”

Clinique de Paris, the Philippines’ sole DHI-certified hair restoration centre and currently ranked third globally among 75 certified clinics worldwide, welcomed media, lifestyle personalities, and industry figures for an afternoon that blended scientific rigor with Filipino warmth.

The afternoon commenced with welcoming remarks from Ludovic Branellec, founder and managing director, who traced CDP’s origins to a personal conviction—that the Philippines should not have to look abroad for world-class medical care, but could become a destination for it.

Ludo shares that they work with French technology, follow Australian clinical protocols, and combine that with the precision and warmth of Filipino medical professionals. Having clients all over the world is a validation he described not as a marketing achievement, but as proof of what becomes possible when the right technology, the right protocols, and the right people converge.

The event was hosted by lifestyle writer and PR strategist Tedrick Yau, who brought both professional credibility and personal testimony to the afternoon. A two-time DHI transplant patient at CDP, Yau has been open about how the procedure restored his confidence alongside his hairline. His willingness to share that journey publicly set the tone for an event as invested in breaking stigma as in showcasing clinical excellence.

Medical director Dr. Rafael Fortus delivered the keynote in two parts. He opened with a cultural meditation on what hair has represented across civilizations—strength, identity, readiness—and built toward a clinical argument: that hair restoration, done with true precision, is not cosmetic, but restorative in the deepest sense. His second part was all about the effective treatments and satisfied clients from all over the world.

Self-care doesn’t have to feel like another task. By making wellness our center of focus, we reinforce that taking care of oneself is not a luxury, but an essential part of showing up fully for the people we love.
