The power of patience and persistence

“Perhaps time’s definition of coal is the diamond.” Khalil Gibran

Diamonds are truly a girl’s best friend. They are Mother Nature’s precious miracle that remind us that if there’s no pressure, then there is no gemstone either. With persistence and patience, our lives could be more polished and focused on a more purposeful existence. For me, I have graduated from my fancy accessories and now into the big, bright world of diamonds.

Tessera Jewelry will be part of the auction at this year’s Red Charity Gala (RCG). I am so delighted that Tessera owners Carl and Papat Fider are so supportive and will donate a stunning jewelry for bidding. All the proceeds of the live auction will benefit RCG’s beneficiaries.

Tessera Jewelry recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest boutique at The Podium, marking a significant step in the brand’s expansion. The new store provides an elegant and intimate space for customers to explore Tessera’s exquisite diamond creations, known for their timeless craftsmanship and modern elegance. The opening also served as the exclusive launchpad for two new signature collections: Bold in Gold and The Bridal Edit. The first collection combines rose gold and natural diamonds while the second collection offers stunning solitaires to classic designs.

In addition to these new collections, the boutique showcases a wide range of fine jewelry, perfect for marking other significant life moments. As Tessera Jewelry founder Papat Fider explained, “This expansion is not just about creating another store, it is about building an experience where every client feels they have stepped into a world designed just for them.”

Creativity meets compassion

It is ball season and the I Want To Share Foundation (IWTS) Charity Gala brought lots of glitz and glam to a very worthy cause. Congratulations to chair Sheila Romero and the foundation for their recent charity cala called An Evening for Brave Warriors. Held at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La The Fort, the fundraising event united the worlds of fashion and art for their advocacy.

The evening raised an astounding ₱88 million, marking a record-breaking milestone for the foundation. Over 550 guests, including philanthropists, celebrities, and changemakers, came together for a night where creativity met compassion.

At the heart of the gala were the true stars of the night: young cancer survivors who walked the runway with undeniable courage and radiant confidence. Dressed in stunning creations by Filipino fashion luminaries Francis Libiran, Ivar Aseron, Dennis Lustico, and Michael Leyva, they transformed the catwalk into a living tribute to resilience.

“I’m forever grateful to every friend, donor, and partner who believed in our mission,” shared Sheila Romero, IWTS founder. “As a cancer survivor, this cause is deeply personal to me. I know what it’s like to fight and survive, and I want every child to feel they are not alone in this journey. This gala isn’t just about raising funds, it’s about creating moments that show these brave kids how seen and loved they are.”

Adding to the evening’s emotional resonance, Catriona Gray, Kaila Estrada, Kirk Bondad, and the children of IWTS members walked the runway alongside young cancer survivors. The gala’s powerful art auction brought together a breathtaking collection of works from master sculptors Ramon Orlina, Daniel De La Cruz, and Jinggoy Buensuceso alongside celebrated contemporary visionaries like Manny Garibay, Elmer Borlongan, Jigger Cruz, Yeo Kaa, Ayka Go, and others. Each piece was more than just art, it was a gesture of hope, created with heart, deep intention, and offered in the spirit of healing.

For the finale of the evening, singer and artist Gary Valenciano, a cancer survivor himself, took the stage with a heartfelt performance that brought the entire room to its feet.

Supporting both charity galas is my generous BFF Pinky Tobiano. She recently held a wellness event to promote her newest product, Swiss Proli Lean Quick at The Farm at San Benito.
Hosted by Swiss Proli Natural, a proudly all-Filipino wellness company, the retreat brought together leaders and changemakers from various industries for a transformative journey into wellness, self-care, and meaningful connection.

Set in the lush sanctuary of The Farm at San Benito—where the energy vortex is one of the highest in Asia—guests were encouraged to ground themselves, heal, and transform.

The brand proudly collaborated with Swiss scientists to develop its line of science-based wellness products. Each product is tested by Qualibet Testing Services and Mérieux NutriSciences to ensure quality, efficacy, and safety.

At the heart of the retreat was Swiss Proli Lean Quick—Apple Cider Vinegar gummies enriched with vitamin C, folic acid, and vitamin B12. This daily supplement is designed to support heart health, manage cholesterol, aid in fatty liver prevention, and assist with weight management—making it an ideal companion in anyone’s wellness journey.
Beyond the health benefits, the retreat became a powerful space of connection. The friendships formed were deep, the conversations meaningful, and the moments shared unforgettable.

A soul-stirring Sunrise Yoga session led by Maxene Magalona opened the retreat with intention. As participants moved and breathed together, the mantra was simple but profound: inhale love, exhale gratitude.
As the retreat concluded, it left behind more than wellness tips and good memories—it left behind a community. One bound by a shared belief in health, heart, and hope.
