Bomb scare halts hearings in Pasig justice hall

Avatar

A bomb threat disrupted hearings on Tuesday at the Pasig City Hall of Justice after all employees were forced to evacuate. In a report sent to media, Pasig police chief Col. Hendrix Mangaldan said the clerk of court received the bomb scare via email at 8:45 a.m, prompting a search which turned out to be negative. The police explosive ordnance disposal team declared the premises clear at 9:20 a.m.

“The email source is being investigated by the PNP Cybercrime Group,” Mangaldan said. The police reminded the public that spreading false information or making threats related to bombs, explosives, or similar devices were prohibited under the law with violators facing severe penalties.
