Former Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary and Manila Economic and Cultural Office (Meco) chair Cheloy Garafil is the new secretary general of the House of Representatives, replacing Reginald Velasco.

During the House session on Tuesday, Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander Marcos made two motions: first to declare Velasco’s position vacant and then to elect Garafil as his replacement.
