BACOLOD CITY—Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson called on the mayors of the province to adopt solar energy in government buildings to reduce the province’s carbon footprint and enhance energy resilience.
Lacson said the province would begin the solar energy project on its buildings.
Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante, the Negros Association of Chief Executives president, supported the governor’s call, noting that his city has already begun implementing solar energy initiatives.
