She’s a professional career officer. Why? Terrible injustice. She was a calm professional presence during COVID. Unlike her top boss then, rambling every midnight over nonsense.

Vergeire has security of tenure being a CESO II. She can be replaced (done earlier on July 14), but can’t be fired without just cause or due process.
