A home that gives you reasons to smile every day
Sometimes, the right address can turn ordinary days into reasons to smile.
From shorter drives to safer, more connected neighborhoods, the idea of home is shifting toward everyday comfort. Homebuyers today are increasingly choosing locations that reduce stress, save time, and keep schools, workplaces, essential services, and open spaces within easy reach.
A new standard of affordable homeownership
This is the vision behind La Sonrisa, the newest residential community from trusted developer Suntrust Properties Inc.
The 15-hectare La Sonrisa—which means “the smile” in English—is located in Brgy. Efigenio Lizares, Talisay City. Designed to offer affordable, thoughtfully planned homes within a secure and well-connected environment, it aims to give Negrenses a place where comfort, convenience, and community come together, and where the future can begin with confidence.
La Sonrisa is the third Suntrust project in Negros Occidental, next to The Fountain Grove and La Riviera, located in the cities of Bacolod and Cadiz, respectively. The upcoming project forms part of the company’s effort to introduce a new standard of affordable homeownership in Talisay City.
“La Sonrisa reflects Suntrust’s commitment to providing quality homes that remain within reach of hardworking Filipino families,” said Suntrust president Atty. Harrison M. Paltongan.
“Through developments like this, we aim to create communities where residents can build their futures in a safe, vibrant and well-connected environment,” Paltongan added.

Contemporary dwellings
Negrense families can begin creating their futures from contemporary suburban dwellings. La Sonrisa will carry four house models to accommodate varying setups and demands.
Budding families can choose Enya (bungalow duplex) or Gaia (bungalow single attached), both with a floor area of 39 sqm. These include two bedrooms, a living room, a toilet-and-bath, a dining and kitchen area, a service area and provisions for a carport and lanai. Unit prices begin at an attainable P2.8 million.
Kyra (two-story duplex) and Ana (two-story attached) are meanwhile ideal for bigger households.
Suite of amenities
Further helping La Sonrisa residents achieve a life worth smiling about is the suite of amenities that foster safety, exclusivity and unity.
The development includes perimeter fences and a guardhouse at the village entryway. A multipurpose hall welcomes intimate family gatherings and community-building events.
Those who want to play with fellow cagers can meet at the basketball court, while those who want to swim can take laps in the pool. Homeowners can interact with nature in open spaces, including a playground and various parks.

Well-connected community
La Sonrisa will no doubt be a well-connected community, as it is situated inside The Sugartown, a 97-ha township of Megaworld, Suntrust’s parent company.
Within this township alone, La Sonrisa already places its residents near key establishments and essential services. More so when you step outside The Sugartown, which is minutes away from government offices, commercial centers, schools, hospitals, the Bacolod-Silay International Airport, and the popular tourist haunt, The Ruins.
Strong potential
La Sonrisa builds on a winning formula—affordable home options, family-centered amenities and strategic location—in seeking to establish Suntrust as a preferred brand and major player in the real estate landscape of Negros, a promising part of the Philippines.
“Negros continues to demonstrate strong potential as a residential and investment destination,” Paltongan said.
Negros Occidental, in particular, has experienced a steady rise, bolstered by ongoing infrastructure improvements, a strengthening regional economy and the entry of reliable developers like Suntrust.
“Through La Sonrisa, we hope to contribute to the province’s progress while giving families the opportunity to own homes in a thriving and future-ready community,” Paltongan added.
La Sonrisa is, indeed, a reason for homeowners to smile.
