Your bright future begins with the right address
It is often said that the three most important factors when choosing a home are location, location and location.
You can come across the most gorgeous condo or the house of your dreams even, but if it’s in a locale that’s not accessible, lacking in basic services, or poorly administered by its local government, you’ll most likely think twice before investing.

Strategic location
Location is a top non-negotiable when looking for a home, particularly in the metro.
Especially now with rising fuel prices and traffic that can leave you stuck on the road for hours, it only makes perfect sense to pick an address that gives you proximity to work, main thoroughfares, major transport hubs, essential shops and services, and schools, for those who have children.
One such address is Pasig City, one of the oldest towns in the Philippines. Not only is this city thriving, it’s also strategically located.
The Ortigas central business district, major malls, recreational spots and some of the country’s esteemed medical and educational institutions are all within this bustling urban hub.
It has ease of access to major thoroughfares such as Edsa, C5 and the Santa Monica-Lawton Bridge, or more popularly known as Kalayaan Bridge, making traveling to other central business districts (CBDs) and surrounding neighborhoods more manageable.

Good governance
Its favorable location aside, what makes Pasig even more appealing is the good governance that the city has been enjoying under the progressive leadership of its mayor, Vico Sotto.
Pasig is also among the top 10 Highly Urbanized Cities in the Philippines, according to the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) of the National Competitiveness Council. Being in the top 10 means that a city is most likely an ideal investment location, offers good public service, and has robust infrastructure.
Recently, Pasig was among 24 cities from around the world to receive recognition from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Global Mayors Challenge.
The competition was designed to key up local governments of cities around the world to come up with innovative solutions to core city problems. Sotto and his team’s proposal included creating more open spaces in Pasig by transforming moored barges along the Pasig River into floating green parks.
Aside from providing the public with added recreational and exercise spaces, these parks will also house essential community services such as health clinics and libraries.

Elevated vertical living
It comes as no surprise that Pasig has found itself consistently on the radar of developers, investors and homeseekers.
Luxury residential developer Shang Properties Inc., for one, is expanding its brand of elevated vertical living to this flourishing part of the metro.
Here you can find Laya by Shang Properties, designed to be your urban sanctuary in a city that is bustling with activity.
It takes its name from the Filipino word for freedom, intending to inspire its future residents to feel at liberty to pursue their dreams and live the life that they have always aspired for.
Laya by Shang Properties offers 1,283 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 33 sqm to 149 sqm in size. Units will have an open floor plan with balconies and large windows, allowing plenty of natural light in while maximizing ventilation.
On top of that, the tower will come with nearly 3,000 sqm of amenities and event spaces including a swimming pool, fitness and wellness areas, a library and shared workspaces.

Proximity to key destinations
The 67-story tower rises on St. Peter Street corner Christian Route in Barangay Oranbo so residents are close to shopping destinations, schools, medical centers and business hubs.
It is a mere 11-minute drive to Ortigas Center, where a number of corporate headquarters are located. Laya’s neighborhood itself also has many weekend haunts—restaurants, cafes and open spaces—for one to explore.
Its location makes going to Bonifacio Global City a breeze as well. And with its access to C-5, traveling to the airport, and other areas south of the metro, is not a problem, too.
With Pasig’s accessibility and its impressive administration, not to mention the topnotch quality that Shang Properties grants its spaces, Laya seems to check all the boxes of a promising future home.
