15 Robinsons Land offices shift fully to renewables

Emmanuel John Abris

Robinsons Land Corp. has transitioned 15 office buildings in Metro Manila to 100-percent renewable energy, marking a major step in its push to decarbonize its office portfolio.

In a statement, the Gokongwei-led property developer said the shift, which began in October 2025, covers both its standalone office assets and those under RL Commercial REIT, Inc. (RCR), its real estate investment trust platform.

The properties are located across key business districts in the cities of Quezon, Taguig, Pasig and Mandaluyong. They include major developments such as GBF Center, Giga Tower, Exxa Tower, Cyber Sigma and Robinsons Cybergate complexes.

Combined, these buildings account for nearly 650,000 square meters of gross leasable area and are expected to avoid about 39,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. This is comparable to removing around 8,500 passenger vehicles from the road each year.

Robinsons Land said many of these developments are already LEED- or EDGE-certified. The company is targeting full green building certification across its office portfolio by 2026.

The renewable energy supply is sourced through MPower, the retail electricity supplier of Manila Electric Co.
