Here comes a 4×4 game – changer

It’s not everyday that you get to learn of a Chinese brand treading the path of the road less traveled. You see, the Chinese, being the biggest population in the world, are natural entrepreneurs and would usually go where the crowd is. For them, more people meant more business.

Then, all of a sudden, you hear the story of Chinese automaker, JETOUR, venturing into off-road vehicles, a niche market, and headlining this is its all-new 4×4 SUV, T2.

“We see a future that is brighter and greener,” JETOUR Auto Philippines, Inc. (JAPI) managing director Miguelito Jose said during the launch event of the T2, together with the Dashing plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).

Here, we later on realized that what he meant with “greener” was not only about a more sustainable vehicle in the newest Dashing, but “greener,” was pertaining more about the greener view from the window as we now get to do more outdoor activities off the trails.

Other than Jose, the launch event held at the Gallio Events Hall in the City of Dreams complex in Paranaque City was attended by other JAPI executives and officers, led by its president Yves Licup; marketing director Cherry May De Los Santos; after-sales director Eryx Julian Guiang, and sales manager, Julie Ann Sevilla. JETOUR Auto International Director of Asia and Pacific Region Caroline Ling was also there.

“Get ready to be amazed by the incredible vehicles we have in store for you today. It’s a celebration of innovation and sustainability,” Jose added.

An extraordinary SUV

In this realm of off-road vehicles, more established vehicles such as the giants Land Rover Defender and Jeep Wrangler reign. In what we have discovered in our own brief research, JETOUR’s T2 is one remarkable SUV that’s ready to go out the fray and battle head on the toughest of competitions.

“This is not your ordinary SUV. It’s a powerful 4X4 beast that can conquer any terrain, and combines rugged capability with refined aesthetics,” Jose further continued.

JETOUR T2’s 2.0-liter Kunpeng Turbo Gas Direct (Injection) TGDI powered engine mated to the Magna 7DCT 3rd-generation wet dual-clutch transmission with intelligent execution system, produces up to 251 horsepower and up to 390 N-m of torque.

The vehicle’s 4×4 off-road suave is properly taken care of by its Smart XWD Intelligent 4WD.

At the onset, this behemoth is defined by its bold and boxy profile. It’s one robust SUV that combines ruggedness and high-functionality, making this off-road renegade oozing with irresistible machismo. The sport-ute stands out from the crowd with its retro design reminiscent of the formidable SUVs of old. Meanwhile, this panache is complemented by modern elements with its LED headlights, elegant taillight bar, square wheel arches, large high-performance tires and high ground clearance.

Rugged aesthetics meets luxury as the cabin features rivets and bolts, coupled with plush leather and a spacious interior.

Its intelligent cockpit layout is managed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset, and in full display via the 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, and the 15.6-inch central control large screen.

Safety-wise, the JETOUR T2 is packed. For one, the chassis comes standard with metal underbody shields for stronger protection. It also comes with an eight-point full-frame front sub-frame that has better overall stability and strength. Linkage-type parts have also been enhanced by more than 20 percent.

Traction-wise, the vehicle is superb, not to mention this is combined with Bosch 5+3 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) utilizing fifth-generation radars/sensors and third-generation cameras, enhancing the detection of objects within its surroundings. Here, radars can see up to 210 meters and cameras have a field of view of around 150 meters for vehicle detection and 70 meters for pedestrian detection. These features go along with its bevy of other technologies, such as: adaptive cruise control, (AEB) active emergency braking / front collision warning, around view monitoring, blind spot detection / (LCA) lane change assist, door open warning, (HDC) hill descent control, hill start assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, paddle shifters and many others.

It also comes with traffic jam assist, and the wade sensing system.

With the T2 and the Dashing plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) JETOUR Auto Philippine, Inc. (JAPI) managing diretor Miquelito Jose says that they “see a future that is brighter and greener.”

The vehicle is offered in two variants, the T2 Beyond and the T2 Terrain.

Jose continued, “The best part about the JETOUR T2 is the introductory price, which makes it an incredible value for money.”

The JETOUR T2 Beyond base model is tagged at P2,498,000, while the T2 Terrain, which has additional kits and fittings, is priced at P2,598,000.

Game-changing fuel-efficiency

Meanwhile, for the JETOUR Dashing PHEV, fuel efficiency is definitely off the charts. Here, a combined full tank of fuel and fully-charged electric battery can go up 1,000 km of driving pleasure.

“This vehicle is a game-changer,” Jose said.

The Dashing PHEV is the ultimate fusion of fuel and electric as JETOUR keeps its promise of a sustainable and greener mobility. The vehicle gets its power from two propulsion systems, the 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with the 3DHT automatic transmission, and the electric motor powered by the Ternary lithium battery.

The T2 is ready to battle head on the toughest of competitions.

With the i-DM Intelligent Drive System packaged into Kunlun hybrid design, power and efficiency are optimized, and top-notch performance is attained.

The vehicle delivers 545 N-m of torque, can dash from 0 to 100 kph in just seven seconds, and can achieve pure electric drive range of up to 100 km.

This JETOUR Dashing PHEV Limited Edition is now available locally for just P1,950,000 and can only accommodate up to 10 customers.
